We're going to Costa Rica! After much flip-flopping and indecision between whether to go to Maui or Costa Rica, we finally settled on the latter. Since we were just in Kauai last February, going the other direction seemed more adventurous. So! Late February/early March 2012 we'll be lighting out to Central America for the first time and earning our first stamp in our recently renewed passports.
In the mean time: we have a lot of hotel, adventure and route planning ahead of us!
The current plan is to fly into San Jose, drive up to Arenal, go to Guanacaste, and end up at Montezuma before driving back to San Jose. You can check out the in-depth and ever-changing plan on the Itinerary page.
We hope to eventually update the itinerary with actual travel times and other details upon our return so that if you want to take the same route and follow our lead, you'll know the time, expense and resources necessary to do so!
